Unique

I've noticed recently that both where I work and where I live, you are given real toilet paper in the public bathrooms—none of that ½ ply garbage. Nor do they lock it in a plastic cage.

The style of the buildings rented out by the company I work for is really interesting. I don't know what to call it, but here's an example:

Some of the walls are just bare concrete. This is on purpose. Also, notice the ceiling: there are only regular ceiling tiles over the workspaces. It's like this in all of the hallways. The building is very much finished, so it's not because of that. I like it.

The rooms use unique light switches too.

And as if thing's couldn't get any better, there's this awesome light fixture:

sweet saucy if you ask me

This week I happened upon a beautiful flower with just the right ray of sunlight on it.

I was walking downtown and recognized this copycat:

I dub it Seattle Flatiron

This week a mate from work and I went out to eat. While in the restaurant's bathroom (why all this bathroom stuff?) I noticed how awesome their urinal area is:

Have you ever seen parking spaces slanted like this?

'copiers' is part of the business name

There's this mysterious writing on the wall in my cubicle:

if you can interpret this, please let me know

Remember the picture of the milk section I posted a while back? Well, I made the leap.

pasteurized, but not homogenized

Too bad it isn't any better than regular milk. The pricing is pretty sneaky too: it costs what it says it does on the shelf plus a $1.85 "deposit" for the bottle. You've got to return the bottle to the store to get your cash back.

I was on my apartment complex's roof this week and noticed the pleasant number of sail boats on the nearby lake:

There was a birthday party for a person in another ward last night that I attended. Here's the birthday melon:

the party was dinosaur themed

As part of the festivities there was a food eating contest.

*snarf* *snarf*

my tongue wasn't long enough to get into the grooves

I had a "where's the cereal?" moment when I opened a new box today:

And last but not least, the evolution of my phone this week:

hm, that's odd

uh-oh

game over

It turns out that I can still make and receive phone calls though; I just can't see anything on the screen. It's like a blast from the past when there was no caller ID and you memorized phone numbers—yikes!

  1. I read all the post instead of just looked at the pictures this time. I kind of like your short sentence commentary better than the paragraphs you had to write. The phone evolution was hilarious. I'm glad you were able to capture it. A+.
